This is Manali. Beas River! Awesome view, nature's sound, and the fresh air! Everything is at its best. Sitting there, just on a roadside rock gives a way better experience than any luxurious hotel can give. In places like this, meditation needs no trick or concentration, it's all automatically, naturally, and eternally therapeutic. Snow-clad mountains, chilling breeze, birds, scenic flyovers made in British India, rich culture, and of course happy people. Every day Manali is fantastic.
No doubt, traveling to Manali is a lifetime experience but I just wonder how long would it be the same. Or, is it the exact experience that people have had in past years or even from ages? I suppose the answer is no! Things are changing rapidly in the name of development and concrete construction is its biggest reason. While we are losing the nature-packed scenic views, it's also affecting the environment. Trees are getting deforested, instead of getting snow-clad they are covered in dust, the river is getting maligned with plastic bottles and wrappers and rain is going on a pause.
Infrastructural development is of course the need of the hour in India as we need more and better connectivity in-between places and public conveyance must be assured as it's being. But, in the process, our nature is suffering a lot. It might be that the government has planned for restoration or reforestation but for another 10 or 15 years, we are definitely on a fall. And what if the authorities are not planning in such a way?

This is not the only question that pops in my mind, I also wonder why the infrastructural development is now happening and what has been done in the past 75 years? Why don't we have a single train going directly to Manali? Why the airport has not developed to a decent extent and why is it so far from the hub? Had it been, maybe by now we have regained the fine state of nature and maybe not? Things are always ambiguous but one thing is clear, that we should play our part to conserve our nature and environment strictly and always.
Not throwing plastic everywhere, consuming them the least and disposing them rightly, going for minimalism, filling in the plates lesser and not wasting the food, traveling in groups to reduce the fuel consumption per head is also a great option; these are the few things we can keep in mind while traveling. Rest the world is our and it's up to us where and how we want to live and what we want to leave behind. Live La Earth!!!! Live La Nature!!!! Live La Manali!!!
